Sip as you shop at the Downtown Truckee Wine, Walk and Shop. This Lake Tahoe annual event unites locals, tourists and businesses with food and wine. At more than 30 different businesses, you can enjoys hors d’oeuvres provided by local eateries and sample wines from regional wineries. You can either walk from venue to venue or take advantage of the free cab rides offered during the event. Or if you’ve been volunteered as the DD, just purchase a Designated Drivers ticket instead of the standard ticket and enjoy non-alcoholic drinks at the venues. The Downtown Truckee Wine, Walk and Shop counts on an enthusiastic turnout, and residents and visitors can mingle and converse over mini crab cakes and Chardonnay. And it’s not just attendees and businesses that connect but the greater community as well – each year the event’s proceeds go to a charitable organization in the area. Not only will you be eating well, but you'll be helping a great cause too.
