How would you like to see all of Lake Tahoe from a bike? Thanks to the Tour de Tahoe, or Bike Big Blue as it’s known to many, you can pedal your way around all 72 miles of Lake Tahoe’s shoreline. The course begins and finishes at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in South Lake Tahoe. Complete with elevation climbs and drops, the route leads you to various breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe including a climb to Spooner Junction and an overlook of Emerald Bay. If you’d rather go your own way – but not completely on your own – check out the Most Unique Scenic and Fun Ride, a 35-mile ride. After crossing the finish line, cyclists get to enjoy the After Ride Meal & Party at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Bike Big Blue is recommended only for conditioned recreational cyclists who are at least 14 years old. This Lake Tahoe annual event is usually held in mid-September.
