Good news, live music lovers!

Following a successful inaugural year in 2024, Truckee Music Fest is returning in August 2025!

Held at Riverview Sports Park on Friday, August 8 and Saturday, August 9, the second Truckee Music Fest features an all-star lineup in a variety of genres, including rock, alt rock, alternative indie and pop.

Grammy and ACM-winning artists will adorn the stages with the backdrop of the mountains to entertain Truckee/Tahoe residents and visitors on two summer days. Tickets will be available at truckeemusicfest.com and can be purchased locally at Mountain Brew and Zander’s The BottleShop with an onsite discount.

Truckee Music Fest was so well received by music goers in year one, its organizers, Truckee locals, friends and Soaring Seven proprietors Jaime Legare and Stacey Larson, wanted to bring it back for year two.

“Truckee Music Fest 2024 went great,” Larson says. “It was amazing to watch the grounds and the stage pop up in our town over the week, and the excitement built every day. We had over 7,500 people in attendance over the two days. Night two reached sellout, the community wanted to be there.”

Last year’s Friday lineup featured headliner Kip Moore, Charles Kelly from Lady A and A Thousand Horses. Saturday featured headliner Sublime, Jakob Newell, G Love and Special Sauce and Makua Rothman. Each night also featured three to four local/regional bands. Considering festival lineups throughout the region and that the 2024 Truckee Music Fest Saturday night lineup is at BottleRock Napa Valley this year, Legare says she feels Truckee Music Fest was ahead of the game for securing special artists in the region.

The festival also hits the mark for bringing these artists to Truckee for a great price.

Larson and Legare worked closely with government agencies to ensure the festival was safe, well-managed and well-received in the community. Hotel beds were full, and the locals were home and showed up with family and friends. From all perspectives, it was a success.

“Truckee Donner Rec & Park District, Truckee Sanitary District, Tahoe Truckee Sanitation Agency and the Town of Truckee are big partners for us and helped deliver a welcoming, safe environment for a music event of this scale,” Larson says.

The organizers are making some changes to Truckee Music Fest for 2025 with a larger footprint for expanded food and beverage and more activities during the day.

Truckee Music Fest is family-friendly, with music playing until 10 p.m. each night. Attendees are encouraged to ride their bikes to the event to receive free bike valet and a $5 food voucher to use the day of their visit. Nearby parking and a shuttle service will also be provided. Last year, 800 cyclists arrived at the music fest via their own two wheels!

“It’s a community-based event that draws all ages,” Legare says. “Last year there were families, kids and music lovers of all ages out there dancing together.”

With a mix of captivating performances and a vibrant atmosphere, Truckee Music Fest promises to give attendees those unforgettable feel-good vibes. Food trucks, visual displays, tasting booths for beer and wine and community vendors will also be at the 2025 Truckee Music Fest. Biking to the show is encouraged with a bike valet and a $5 voucher for bikers. A shuttle for offsite parking and expanded parking is also available.
