This hotel was among the vanguard of the South Shore redevelopment, back near the turn of the century when it was known as an Embassy Suites property, and it still sets the standard for a certain level of resort-town luxury. The open-air interior architecture is a pleasure, as are the spacious rooms. Amenities at the Tahoe Resort Hotel include a free breakfast buffet and basic WiFi. There is also a heated indoor pool, a fitness center and an outdoor sundeck. The resort is at the heart of the South Shore action, just steps away from both the Heavenly Village shopping and activities and Nevada's casino corridor. Tucked in as it is among the attractions, however, the site has no outside parking. The underground garage is valet parking only for a daily fee. The property has a restaurant on site, Echo, that's known for California casual cuisine. And the Tahoe Resort Hotel also offers complete wedding packages, from planning on through to the ceremony, reception and catering.
