The atmosphere at Evan’s American Gourmet Cafe is well expressed by its name. You can expect gourmet food, from the appetizers such as Scallop Quenelles with sherry-lobster cream to entrees such as Chef Dustin Hull’s Roast Cervena venison loin chop and on through to Pastry Chef Anthony Pulera’s dessert specials. But by tagging this restaurant as a cafe, owners Evan and Candice Williams have given it a more relaxed and laid-back ambiance. Paired with the setting, which is a vintage cabin in the pines, this atmosphere helps to give Evan’s a true Tahoe feel. The restaurant is available for banquet events.
