You're skiing at Squaw Valley. You're hungry. But you don't want to miss out on any runs, and you don't have much money. What do you do? Go to Dave's Deli! That's what all of the locals do, anyway. Dave's Deli is definitely a local hangout. With its location within the Olympic House a few feet from the beloved ski lift KT-22, it's a favorite pit stop for those training for the big leagues of extreme skiing and snowboarding. Some of the favorite menu items include the Fat Kid, a packed sandwich full of avocado, sprouts and jack cheese on wheat bread, the Manly Meatloaf on sourdough with cheddar, or the Rad Muffin, a rendition of the English muffin with egg created by Dave himself. The deli is only open when the lifts are spinning, both hourly and seasonally.
