Air, Land and Sea traffic jam. Today on a flight “To the Lake” we got to witness the Celebrity Golf Tournament mayhem.
In the air, all the jet traffic coming into and out of the South Tahoe airport required a temporary tower and it was busy in the AIR.

Pictured: Sunday July 18, 2021, showing the Tamarac fire smoke. Tahoe was clear, Minden and Carson City heavy smoke. Note the shot at Emerald Bay the smoke plume to the left drifting back into the Carson Valley keeping Lake Tahoe clear.

Amazing the colors at South Shore from above. Note the brown from the upper Truckee River feeding into the Lake (middle right).

One of my favorite roads from the air and from the ground. Emerald Bay to the left and Cascade Lake to the right. Flying with local Private Pilot Airplane Michaela. Note she has the controls.

Today we got to hook up with Sheldon of Lake Tahoe Balloons just outside of Emerald Bay. Note the balloon launching/retrieving barge below. This season has been spectacular with mild winds which both Sheldon and I both like. Makes our job easier.
