In this time of the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent economic crisis, we are longing for that feeling of security that comes from a hug, some physical contact that is verboten for now. But we CAN give everyone a virtual hug! By embracing our mountain community, our businesses and their employees, our friends and neighbors, and the people that care for us and our homes, we can preserve our way of life and the close- knit relationships we have formed over many years. It takes a Village!

EMBRACE INCLINE.COM is a COVID-19 Resource Guide specifically for Incline Village/Crystal Bay. This privately funded website offers a vast list of resources to help you, your family or your business. We are updating this guide daily with the many creative grassroots efforts - from delivery services, to sewing masks, and much more. Click here for our Resource Guide.

If you have something to share, or see something important that is missing, send a note to Jody Poe jpoe@tahoe.com. Tahoe.com, also known as Lake Tahoe This Week, is graciously hosting this site.

If you are wondering how to help, look to the Angel At Your Door Community Assistance Program, started by the Rotary Clubs in Incline Village. Donate to the COVID Angel Fund to help local families and businesses, or, sign up on the volunteer database to share your time and talents. The Angel Fund supports two grant programs, Geno Angel Family Grants, and Angel Business Grants. The COVID-19 Angel Fund is generously supported by the Dave & Cheryl Duffield Foundation.

The heroes of our community are the nonprofits on the frontline dispensing help in the ways they know best. Tahoe Family Solutions has greatly increased their Community Support Fund. Sierra Community House is delivering food to 500 families throughout the North Shore. Boys and Girls Club North Lake Tahoe is serving 600 family meals, several times a week in Incline Village, Kings Beach and Truckee. This is in addition to the full complement of family advocacy and other services they are STILL providing. Click through to their websites to learn more and to donate to them directly. These agencies have benefited from generous donations from the two major foundations located in Incline Village, Parasol Tahoe and the Dave & Cheryl Duffield Foundation.

Businesses need our help more than ever. Look to embraceincline.com to give you up to the minute information on what is open and how to buy gift cards. When we work together, we collectively support and strengthen our commitment to our neighbors and community overall. Visit embraceincline.com.
