Billed as the “Loudest Show on Snow” the 48 STRAIGHT Jeep King of the Mountain Tour made its second tour stop at Squaw Valley USA Feb. 8-11. A weekend of nonstop events on and off snow, festival goers found it hard to squeeze in a few hours of sleep as they experienced ski and snowboard cross races, halfpipe and superpipe competitions and world class music acts such as The Roots, Pepper, Dinosaur Jr. and DJ Logic.
The Village at Squaw was turned into a four-day-long block party with live music, dancers, ice sculptors and an art exhibit, as well as an environmental expo. Tahoe.com was on the scene, giving people tips on where to go, and what to see in the area, plus handing out free Sierra Summits sunblock and lip balm.
