Diamond Peak celebrates Australia Day Jan. 26

Celebrate Australian Day Saturday, Jan. 26 at Diamond Peak Ski Resort with a special menu.
You might be an Australian if...
1. Cricket is so much more than just an insect to you.
2. You put an “o” at the end of every word
3. Beer is the reason you get up at 12 noon every day
4. You hate Foster’s because it’s not Australian
5. You eat your national emblem (kangaroos and emus)
6. You put an “eh” at the end of every sentence
7. You spend Christmas Day at the beach
8. You eat chips and tomato sauce
9. You hate New Zealand
10. You're lucky to get four weeks of vacation a year.

G’ day mate! Diamond Peak is celebrating Australia Day Saturday, Jan. 26 and folks of all nationalities are welcome to attend - yes, even Kiwis! We’ll be firing up the Barbie on the base lodge outside deck and Snowflake Lodge deck and serving Australian food. Here’s what’s on the menu:
Grilled cheeseburgers with spicy Outback ranch sauce ($8.50)
Grilled chicken sandwiches with pineapple curry glaze ($8.95)
Grilled sausage sandwiches with seared sweet Melbourne onion relish ($8.25)
All items served with fresh Tasmanian fruit salad with a kick!
Live music will follow the BBQs at the end of the day up in the Loft Bar with Jeff Jones, a popular local rock/blues artist; playing a solo show from 4-6 p.m. Hart Skis is making a comeback and will have a booth with demos on the base lodge deck all day. Don’t bludge around, mate: throw on your jumper and strides, come ski around, and enjoy the Barbie and live music!
